To My Friends at Broad + Liberty:

One year ago, Broad + Liberty was founded with an ambitious mission:  to “provoke thought, challenge ideological assumptions, and offer a perspective on the issues that matter most.”  Its founders intended for it to be unlike any other news outlet in Philadelphia, and they have certainly delivered on that promise.  Broad + Liberty provides a fresh perspective for all readers on the most important issues facing our great City and region.  I applaud Broad + Liberty for its commitment to freedom of thought and expression, its courage to address what is on the minds of many, and its desire to engage citizens of all viewpoints in robust, respectful debate.  Congratulations on your first anniversary and I look forward to many more to come!
