A week ago, Newsmax sent out the following memo to its readers: “You need to find out why the major media — even Fox News — is banning any mention of ‘Final Battle’ as it soars to the top of the bestseller lists…” Final Battle: The Next Election Could be the Last is the title of Freedom Center founder David Horowitz’s latest book. It is the number one best-selling political book in the nation as recorded on Amazon’s best-seller list. For three months it has been the number one best-seller in Amazon’s “Elections” category, topping such powerhouse books as Alan Dershowitz’s Get Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ new book The Courage to Be Free. Former President Donald Trump praised Final Battle as “Great!” and urged his followers to read it. He even named his presidential campaign “Final Battle.”

Yet, as Newsmax points out, to date outside of Newsmax there has been no mention of Final Battle in the major media, including Fox News. The boycott extends to the leftwing best-seller lists, in particular the New York Times Bestseller List, the gold standard of book sales. Final Battle does not appear on the Times list at all. When I inquired, the publisher at Humanix Books told me that weekly sales of Horowitz’s book “have been higher than other titles on the New York Times bestseller list, but the NYT has not yet included Final Battle. And they won’t explain why not.”

No surprise there. The discredited left-wing propaganda outlet has long been suspected of manipulating the sales of books by political conservatives in order to keep them off the prestigious List.

The real mystery is why Fox News should join this pack. When Humanix Books published Final Battle at the beginning of the year, it was accompanied by rave recommendations from many prominent figures in the conservative camp. Author/filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, bestselling journalist Peter Schweizer, and talk show giant Dennis Prager were among those who lauded Horowitz’s book, with Prager describing it as “the most devastating indictment of the Democrat Party to yet appear.”

My own review of Final Battle describes it as a “sweeping indictment of the Democrats’ neo-Marxist agenda to dismantle all the checks and balances the Founding Fathers of our republic put in place to prevent one party from hoarding all power. This is the agenda the Left has been hell-bent on implementing, and Final Battle presents the sobering reality of where Americans are now.” I concluded that “it is a hard-hitting warning that our deeply-polarized country is in the grip of a cold civil war that promises to flare up into a conflagration – unless our political landscape is purged of the totalitarian radicals who threaten our former liberal democracy.”

Why then the silence at Fox? Over the years Horowitz has put on posh events at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills for Fox authors, including Jesse Waters, Greg Gutfeld, Brian Kilmeade, Pete Hegseth, Steve Hilton and Mollie Hemingway. According to Horowitz these authors are still his friends and not responsible for the boycott which has been imposed by Fox management.

A probable reason for their decision is the fact that Final Battle’s publisher Humanix Books is the publishing division of Newsmax Media, the cable news and digital media company founded by Christopher Ruddy in 1998 which happens to be the fastest-growing cable news network. Could Fox News be feeling the heat from Newsmax’s booming popularity?

Horowitz considers Final Battle to be his most important book. It concisely connects the dots underlying all the economic, social, and political devastation the Democrats have wreaked in a mere two years under the radical Biden administration, which Horowitz labels “the most overtly racist and anti-constitutional government in American history.” It catalogues the damning evidence that the Democrats are not merely incompetent, but hell-bent on forging a one-party totalitarian state. In the words of Dennis Prager: Final Battle is “nothing less than a handbook for the salvation of the United States of America.”

  1. A very simple and direct reason why it is being suppressed is: it brings truth to power. Because it is a comprehensive exposure of the grab for power and money, it not only threatens the Democratic party, but also, Neo-Conservatives, RINOs, Libertarians, Communists, Socialists and so on. Sadly, for us, today’s society has been shaped by the ideology of power and money. One worlders aren’t looking for Nirvana, just power and money. The book is very threatening to those who seek power and money, especially thoses who do it under the radar.
