Duane A. Dellecker is running for school director in the Lehighton Area School District, located in Carbon County. He is a registered Republican and a building code administrator.
Why are you running for school board?
To look out for the taxpayers, protect the children from the woke DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) agenda, and to support the worthy faculty.
What are the most important issues facing your district?
Taxes, curriculum, and facilities’ maintenance.
What is your professional background/experience? What skills would you bring to the board?
I am a building code professional with expertise in building codes and budgeting.
Have you run for political office previously? Have you been politically active?
I have been an active Republican for over 40 years and currently hold a board seat in the Lehighton Area School District.
Are you running with other candidates?
Yes, Joy Beers and I are on the ballot. Three others are launching write-in campaigns.
What is the most important role of the school board in your opinion?
Protecting our youth and taxpayers.

We contacted the Democratic and Republican committees in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Lehigh, and Montgomery counties and asked them to share the questions with their school director candidates.
